Real Estate

Do you need the help of an attorney relating to your real property?

As your lawyer my Real Estate practice handles the representation of either sellers or buyers involved in property transactions as well as property subdivision, zoning or tax assessment issues.

If you are the seller of property:

For the sellers as your lawyer I will prepare all documentation and correspondence with the closing agent, including but not limited to the deed and property transfer tax return, and others returns if applicable, as well as physical attendance at the closing if requested.

If you are the buyer of property:

For buyers of property, as your attorney I will handle; property title and deed research and preparation of the Attorney’s Report and Opinion on Title, correspondence with the sellers representative and realtors (if any) involved, in addition to acting as closing agent, unless stipulated otherwise by the financial institution involved, and arranging for title insurance and handling all document recording in the property the town land records and with the state.

If you are the owner of property making changes or with issues:

For property subdivision, zoning or tax assessment issues, as your lawyer I will represent the property owners, research the property, work with the engineers involved and correspond with zoning or development review boards (DRB), attend hearings and property tax assessment grievance meetings.

I practice primarily in Grand Isle County, (South Hero, Grand Isle, North Hero, Alburgh and Isle LaMotte), Franklin County, and Chittenden County.
